Clock Con is a compact clock control system designed specifically for film, television, theatre and live production environments, where accurate, repeatable control of a clock is essential.

Developed from our experience creating bespoke prop control systems, Clock Con allows the hour and minute hands of a clock to be controlled independently while still operating naturally as a conventional clock.

The system can run in real time, be set instantly to a specific time, or recall predefined time positions for different scenes, shots or cues. Once a new time has been selected, the clock can either remain fixed in position or continue running normally from that point.

This makes Clock Con particularly useful for continuity-critical filming, where the same clock position needs to be reproduced accurately across multiple takes, as well as theatre productions where the displayed time may need to change between scenes or during a performance.

Clock Con can also create accelerated time effects, allowing the hands to move more quickly during a scene while maintaining controlled and repeatable movement.

Remote Control

Clock Con can be controlled in several ways depending on the production environment.

An integrated web interface allows stored positions and clock functions to be accessed locally without specialist software. For fully wireless operation, the controller can also receive Radio DMX commands, allowing clock movements and stored times to be triggered alongside other lighting, practical and stage cues.

This means the clock can effectively be treated like any other controllable fixture within a production.

Designed to Disappear Into the Prop

The electronics have been designed directly around the clock movement, creating a compact assembly that can sit discreetly behind the clock face.

The controller is designed to operate from a standard USB power bank, making it easy to create a completely self-contained clock with no external power or control cables. Different capacity power banks can be selected depending on the required operating time and available space within the prop or set.
